City Girl

Emma and I took a trip to downtown Denver so we could ride the "Big Bus" a.k.a. the 16th Street Mall Shuttle. We hopped on the bus like pros and Emma was an excellent passenger. We jumped off on California Street and hit the Jamba Juice for berry smoothies. After chilling out and people watching, we strolled down 16th street and played with a cow statue. Back on the shuttle and down 16th street again to the car. It was a fun "Big Bus" time!

Down the Slide

I think they might actually grease these slides with crisco.

Monkey Bizness

We just got back from Family night at our new favorite place ... Little Monkey Bizness. $5 admission for Emma and $1 slice pizza! We had a great time and Emma crashed hard after her bath. Here she is "monkey-ing" around.

Soggy Soccer

We had one heck of a storm last night that broke branches off a neighbor's tree - narrowly missing Andy and Deepi's house. This made for a very soggy and buggy soccer field for Lil Kickers this morning. Emma had a good time but was super tired and still getting over her cold so we left a little early. Here are some pictures of Emma and her Daddy.

Olivia Rose Update!

Ryan and I went for our 37 week appointment yesterday which included an ultrasound. Olivia looks perfect (of course!) and weighs approximately 6 lbs 13 ounces. She is head down with her feet poking me in the ribs. She swallowed some amniotic fluid and rubbed her lips together during the ultrasound - it was so cool to see! I have been having contractions off and on but the doctor said that is pretty common in a second pregnancy. Basically we hold on until July 27 or if Olivia decides to venture out early we just head into the hospital for the surgery. They made it sound all very simple so I am definitely more at ease.
My friend Sarah sent Emma a wonderful "Big Sister" book (thanks again!) and it is Emma's favorite book to read right now. The day care also told us that Emma told them she was going to "hold the baby" and "feed the baby" and "help the baby". She's going to rock as a Big Sis!

Another Day of Play

Emma was a little under the weather today so we watched an insane amount of Dora the Explorer before I convinced her to play outside. Emma painted with her new water color set and tried to hose me and the dogs down with the sprinkler - I'd say she is going to make a full recovery.

Monkey-ing Around

Emma and Caylen spent the morning at "Lil Monkey Business" - which is like the BEST business idea ever. It's a cafe (for the grown-ups) over-looking a kid paradise of slides, playhouses, bouncey houses, etc. As Caylen's Mommy Heather and I are both preggo, Ryan took charge of the girls and they had an absolute blast. Once things wound down a bit we went to the Art Room where these pint-size Picasso's painted, colored and drew on the chalk board. We will definitely be back!
