Happy Halloween!

Kate, Lucinda, Emma and Hudson.

Kate, Lucinda, Emma, Hudson, Jack (with helmet) and Olivia supervising.

On our way to Gaylord!

"Look, Mom!".

Ready to hand out the goodies.

The gang met up at our house and we walked down to trick-or-treat on Old South Gaylord. Afterwards, Emma and Olivia enjoyed handing out candy to the kids that came by. Happy Halloween, everyone!

Avs

Mmm, hot dogs and water for dinner.

Yes, Jason the Hockey Mask has a day job.

Gibson CHEESE!

Oh, and the long anticipated cotton candy.

Tonight we headed to Pepsi Center to cheer on the Colorado Avalanche! Girls were super excited for cotton candy, er, I mean the hockey game. We made it to the end of the 2nd period - game was tied at 2. After we left, we grabbed a ride on a rickshaw back to the car. No kidding, and I didn't get a picture, sigh.

Lucinda's Halloween Party

Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and a Blue Bird from Rango!

Spooky treats!

The obstacle course ... if you dare.

After several "at bats" for the kiddos, Tristan rips open the pinata.

CANDY.

Liv giving Hudson some loves.

We look forward to Lucinda's Halloween party every year! The kids are growing up so fast, it's nice to have this tradition to celebrate with our friends. Marina and Tristan had deliciously spooky food and tons of fun games for the kids including an obstacle course. An eyeball pinata finished it off - treats and toys!

Boo at the Zoo

Snow White from the 'hood.

Ariel all bundled up.

It's that time again! Boo at the Zoo brought our favorites together: candy and animals. Girls had a blast trick-or-treating and even scored some toothbrushes to get rid of those blasted sugar bugs.

Play Group

To celebrate Halloween weekend, the kids dressed up and we made spider webs and ate goblin mouths with wicked cider. SO much ghoulish fun!

First Snow

My little snow angel.

The spider web Halloween decorations look a bit odd, covered in snow ...

Smile and an eye roll.

As predicted, we got our first snow fall in October. Amazingly, it was 80 degrees on Monday only to snow 6 inches on Wednesday. You definitely have to be on your toes with this crazy weather. The girls were so excited to get out and play. Snow suits on, we tried to make snowballs and a snowman but it was just too powdery. Emma did try out a snow angel, but their favorite thing to do was to hit the snow from the low hanging tree limbs.

To the Moon

You can see the "bits" here ...

Liv making a fence for her sheep.

Daddy lends a helping barn hand.

We have purchased Moon Dough sets for just about every friend of Emma's this year, and I finally broke down and gave the girls the Barnyard version. They saw the box last week and Emma has asked me, daily, if we could play with it. Today, was the day! The texture is soft (and a bit crumbly) and the animals are not exactly perfect - but these kids love it. Highly recommended over play dough as it claims to never dry out. Just use caution, as the bits get everywhere!

Soccer Sunday

Olivia giving her Daddy a pep talk.

Ryan's two biggest fans.

After a quick trip to the science museum (to show their Daddy the T-Rex exhibit), we headed to Dick's field to watch the soccer game. The girls got to play with their friends Katie and Jake in the October sunshine. Great job on the game, Ryan!

COACH

Coach Ryan made his Perk Pups debut this morning! Armed with killer soccer skills, he took the practice to another level. Kids were engaged, dribbling the ball, and following instructions. These kids are on their way to the 2030 World Cup!

Gifts!

Another holiday, another chance to spoil the girls! Gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Gibson arrived Monday and a package from Nanna Z arrived today. Our house is full of pumpkins, books, princess decor and spooktacular nail polish! We skyped with Grandma and Grandpa so we didn't get any photos of the box being opened, but we were on the ball for Nanna Z's today. Here are the girls grabbing their pumpkin purses. Thanks again, everyone. We love you!

Monster Machine

Helping Daddy carry Olivia's new rug. Teamwork!

Perk Pups soccer was cancelled due to rain, so we stopped at Lowe's this morning to build a "Monster Machine". Girls worked hard hammering and adding stickers for this Halloween-themed toy. Great job!
