Active Afternoon

The weather is hot and sunny today so we hung out with the dogs in the shady backyard. Emma enjoyed a green popsicle, hung out in her sandbox (tried to feed sand to the dogs), took a turn on her big girl bike and even went for a wagon ride around the block - phew! She is happily snoozing now at nap time.

Last Spring Class for Lil Kickers

Today was Emma's last indoor soccer class for Spring. Next Saturday she starts Summer League outside! She had a great time and will be in her buddy Caylen's class next so she should have an even better season coming up.

Big Girl Cup

I bought this EMMA cup for Emma when she was about a year old and we bring it out every-so-often for practice. She wanted to drink out of a cup this afternoon so we obliged. Yes, most of it ran down her neck and saturated her SPAM shirt - but she was having fun!

Zoo Fun

Emma and I ventured to the Denver Zoo yesterday morning before yet another storm hit. The Sea Lion exhibit was shut down due to flooding from the last couple days of storms - pretty crazy! We hit our favorite exhibit - the Tropical Discovery - where Emma can run around and they have a little bit of everything exotic in there: alligators, kimodo dragons, spiders, snakes, turles, etc. Here we caught a monkey hanging out on the little exhibit fence and Emma made some friends near the turtles. Later, we enjoyed our usual ice cream treat (the real reason Mommy loves the zoo!).

Over the Rainbow

We are having our fair share of afternoon thunderstorms this week. The good thing is that the grass and all of our new plants are fantastically green! The storms don't seem to bother Emma or the dogs either which is helpful. We did catch quite an amazing rainbow over our neighbor's (Andy and Deepi) house. Check it out!

Pint-Sized Picasso

This afternoon we were hit with thunderstorms and hail - yes, in June. At least we were far enough from where the tornado touched down but they ran the sirens in our neighborhood anyways. Emma was a trooper and we watched the storm, baked cookies and she colored with markers and later with her paints. Here is Miss Emma drawing and being shy for the camera before she demanded "No Mommy, no pictures".

Lounging with Dad

Ryan had a double header soccer game today so he spent some chill time with Emma on the couch to rest up. These two were just too cute to pass up the photo op.
