Happy 4th of July!

Emma sported her red-white-and blue outfit from Grandma G. and played "kitchen" with the dogs in the backyard. Then Emma and her Daddy went for a wagon ride to Wash Park to play on the playground. Such a busy day - we'll all be in bed before the fireworks show even begins!

Fun with the Sprinkler

Here is a clip of Emma playing with one of the sprinkler "tentacles".

Octopus Sighting!

I found this octopus sprinkler at K-Marche for $10 and we broke it out this afternoon. Granted, if you actually turn on the water pressure we can probably hit our neighbors - but Emma screamed so I barely turn the water up now. This way Emma has "control" of the tentacle sprinklers - go figure. We tested it out today and hope to use it all summer as it is getting hot.

New Kitchen

The newest addition to our "Little Tikes" family is a play kitchen. Ryan found this on craigslist and it is the perfect complement to the LT basketball hoop, bike, water table and swing. The backyard is seriously a kiddie haven now. Today, Emma is sporting her "Surfer Girl" t-shirt courtesy of Grandma G.

Finger Paints!

We broke out the finger paints to make Grandma and Grandpa G. a Thank You card for all of Emma's goodies. She started off very well - actually only using her dainty fingertips to paint, but soon she discovered her hands. Yes, painting your hands (and arms and legs) are far more exciting than paper. Needless to say she still made a great card and I just hosed her down in the yard. Thanks again for the clothes, shoes, books and toys!

Giggle Girl

Emma's new favorite thing is to take water from her water table and bring it ALL the way over to the green side table to pour it out. Luckily, if she tries to pour it on me it's usually already spilled out by the time she reaches me. Here she is cracking herself up.

Just Playin'

Another morning of play time in the backyard. Emma likes to drink the disgusting water from her water table - as do most Toddlers, right? Here Emma is showing off one of her new outfits from Grandma G. (thanks again!).
